Aurora Aksnes was born on 15 June 1996 in Stavanger, Norway. Professionally known as Aurora and sometimes stylized with uppercase letters like AURORA. Her debut E.P. Katy Perry, who endorsed the track Runaway with her voice, gave her the track a little more attention. Celebrate her birthday. Aurora Aksnes earliest musical memory is of finding a piano in her attic and being fascinated by the sounds it would create. Parents May-Britt as well as Jan Oystein Aksnes encouraged her to take up music not as a profession or a pastime, but to grow. So she started with her own music. She cites renowned songwriters Leonard Cohen and Bob Dylan for inspiration, as well as an affinity for Bjork's style. Her mother was supportive of her performing her music in front of the public, but not so that she could be famous, but to let others know that they matter and how they can make a difference for the world. She began playing the piano when she was six years old and started making music when she was 9 years old. It was not until she turned 14 that she revealed her plans to her parents. There was no way she could have imagined to become Aurora. As she says, she just likes to write songs. Music to her is the only way to feel anything.
